Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Public Affairs, to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State Hon Peter Ahemba, on Wednesday  described the outing of Senator Philip Aruwa Gyunka on a programme on AIT as a  shameful public display of ignorance .
Hon Ahemba in a statement made available to newsmen reads that ‘ Our attention  has been drawn to some uncomplimentary remarks made by Senator Philip Aruwa Gyunka, a citizen of the state from Akwanga Local Government Area on the administration of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, when he featured live as Guest on the Africa Independent Television (AIT) to discuss the recent split judgement of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Lafia.
The statement reads that ” While answering questions during the live programme, Senator Gyunka asserted that the Engr. Sule-led administration has not executed any project in Akwanga Zone where he (the Governor) hails from.”
” We watched with disbelieve, how a supposed man of honour could go on a national Television to consciously give false information with regards to governance in his own state in the name of opposition politics. “
” Such  unwarranted remark on Governor Sule’s government is not only reckless but also exposed his ignorance of what is happening in  the State, particularly in Akwanga Zone where reference was made during the shameful outing.”
” It  is public knowledge that the Nassrawa State Government under the able leadership of Engr. Sule has recorded unprecedented achievements in all facets. This  remains a fact that cannot be argued anywhere because the giant strides are not only visible but can also be felt and touched across the State.”
” The statement reads in parts ” For the records, it is pertinent to point out that the current administration has initiated and executed over a hundred projects, cutting across all sectors of the economy and completed several others that were inherited from the previous administrations in Akwanga Zone, made up of Akwanga, Wamba and Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Areas since inception in 2019. For the avoidance of doubt, some of the projects are hereby listed as follows:
– Facilitated the establishment of Mobile Police Training College at Endehu, Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area.
– The Gudi Industrial Hub.
– Sitting of the newly established  Faculty of Engineering, Nasarawa State University, Keffi at Gudi, Akwanga LGA.
– Construction of Gudi-Moroa road.
– Construction of Gudi-Ungwan Dorowa road.
– Alushi Wakama road constructed by the present administration.
– Rinze-Ngare-Ancho-Baba Andaha road.
– Andaha-Numa-Bayan Dutse roads, all in Akwanga LGA.
– Construction of Kagbu-Atsoko-Kagbu Wana road in Nasarawa-Eggon and Wamba Township roads.
Other projects executed by the Engr. Sule’s administration in Akwanga Zone includes; the Akwanga and Nasarawa-Eggon  Neighborhood Markets, Wamba Modern Markets and Completion of Akwanga Model Hospital.
Further more, we wish to remind Senator Gyunka and indeed, his co-travellers who, for retrogressive opposition politics have refused to see any project executed in the state and  Akwanga Zone in particular by the present administration that  the VIP Lodge at Akwanga was also remodelled by the Engr. Sule’s administration. Also constructed is the Akwanga Guest House the Event Centre at Akwanga as well as installation of 2km Solar Power Street Light, all in Akwanga, among other projects within the Zone were brought about by the Sule’s administration.
We challenge the PDP chieftain and other critics to, in good conscience, deny that the aforelisted projects do not exist in Akwanga Zone.
Senator Gyunka must be reminded that, having failed to attract a single project to his constituency as a State House of Assembly member for Eight (8) years and  as Senator for Four (4) years respectively lacks the moral standi to accuse any government of non performance.
Members of the public are therefore urged to disregard the comments coming from an ungrateful heart as it is mischievously targeted to portray the administration of Engr. Sule in bad light and discredit the good works going in the state under his focused resourceful leadership ,Hon Ahemba further added.
