The Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Mikang Local Government Council,Hon.Daniel Kungmi,has pledged more support for the Police and other sister agencies in  sustaining peace in Plateau State.
The chairman stated this when the new commissioner of police,CP Hassan Stephen,paid him a courtesy call in his office in Tunkus.
The chairman applauded the police for ensuring high orderliness in the state inspite of the security challenges facing the state.
Kungmi further said that the police as a friend of the people must be dogged in its quest to fight insurgency and criminality in the locality and state in general.He said that the police should ensure that the police-civil relationship is well maintained .
The chairman said that Mikang Local Government, being one of the most peaceful local government in the state,will not hesitate to support the police and  other federal agencies resident  in the local council.He said the council will not rest on its oars until peace fully returns to the state.
Kungmi further promised the police chief of the council’s readiness to provide a good working environment and urged them to work in synergy with other sister agencies to ensure peace continues to thrive in the local government,state and nation at large.

Information Officer, Mikang Local government council and made available to newsmen in Jos reads that earlier,the Commissioner of Police, Mr Hassan Stephen appreciated the chairman for  for the giant strides and the maintenance of peace and harmony in the local government.
The police boss recalled with satisfaction the support the police  receive from Mikang Local Government Council in different capacities.He called for more collaboration and synergy between the Police and the citizens of the locality and the state at large.
The commissioner of police pledged his full support for the local government and the state.He applauded governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s administration for the giant strides in maintaining peace and the provision of the dividends of democracy.This is so visible in the developmental projects on-going across the state.
He said this can only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility,hence the need to ensure sustainable peace.
