As part of activities marking the Christmas season, the Olumide Kola-Lawal (OKL) Support Group has distributed palliatives to families across the Lagos Central Senatorial District, further strengthening its reputation for people-oriented engagement.

The beneficiaries were carefully selected from various communities within the district, reflecting the group’s inclusive approach to grassroots support and empowerment.

Our correspondent reports that the recent outreach marks the fifth empowerment programme carried out by the OKL Support Group in the Lagos Central Senatorial District, underscoring its consistency and commitment to the welfare of the people.

Items distributed during the event included bags of rice, groundnut oil, cash gifts, and other essential household items aimed at easing the economic burden on families during the festive period.

Speaking with journalists at the event, the group’s coordinator, Lekan Badmus, described the initiative as part of the group’s long-standing passion for giving back to society and supporting the well-being of Lagosians and Nigerians at large.

Badmus reaffirmed the group’s resolve to continue expanding its humanitarian efforts, noting that the OKL Support Group remains dedicated to doing more for residents of Lagos Central, Lagos State, and the nation as a whole.

Commending the initiative, Chief Eniola, an APC chieftain, praised the OKL Support Group for its sustained empowerment programmes and urged members to continue making positive impacts in society.

Another APC chieftain, Mrs Wuraola, also applauded the group for touching the lives of the beneficiaries and encouraged them to remain steadfast, adding prayers for the continued success of the group.

One of the beneficiaries, Salawu Adeniran, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, saying, “I want to thank the group and pray that God continues to bless and protect them.”

The event attracted several APC stakeholders from the Lagos Central Senatorial District, highlighting the growing influence and acceptance of OKL across Lagos Central Senatorial district.
