Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area, Hon Pirfa Jingfa Tyem, has officially received his All Progressives Congress (APC) membership card, presented by the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, during the party’s E-Registration assessment visit to Langtang North Local Government Area.

 

The presentation took place at the Christ College of Theology and Education, Pyal, Langtang North Local Government Area, during a well-attended APC registration and unity rally that drew party leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, and stakeholders from across Plateau State.

 

Presenting the temporary APC membership card to Honorable Pirfa Tyem, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda explained that the exercise was part of the party’s ongoing digital transformation aimed at strengthening internal democracy and ensuring credible party membership records nationwide.

 

He added that the selection of Langtang North as one of the Local Government Areas for the assessment exercise reflected the party’s commitment to inclusiveness and grassroots engagement, particularly within the Tarok Nation.

 

Other notable individuals who also received their temporary APC membership cards during the event included Plateau State Commissioner for Works Honorable Ubandoma Laven and Member Plateau State House of Assembly representing Langtang North-North Constituency, Honorable Abel Nansak Nimchak, among others.

In his remarks, Honorable Pirfa Jingfa Tyem expressed deep appreciation to the APC National Chairman for honoring Langtang North and the Tarok Nation by choosing the Local Government Area as one of the take-off points for the E-Registration assessment in Plateau State. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Local Government to mobilize party members and support the successful implementation of the exercise.

The Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, who also addressed the gathering, urged residents to actively participate in the ongoing APC E-Registration and Continuous Voter Registration (CVR). He emphasized the importance of possessing valid National Identification Numbers (NIN) and Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), noting that political participation is key to sustaining Plateau State’s influence at the national level.

Governor Mutfwang also acknowledged the Tarok Nation for their support during the 2023 general elections and called for unity, reconciliation, and renewed commitment among party members as preparations toward future elections intensify.

Langtang North Local Government Area reads that the event featured goodwill messages from the Secretary to the State Government, Architect Nanchang Samuel Jatau, Member House of representatives Langtang North/South Federal Constituency Honorable Vincent Venman party leaders, and representatives of the traditional institution, who all emphasized unity, mobilization, and grassroots participation.

The rally concluded with a call on all eligible citizens to complete their APC E-Registration, revalidate existing memberships, obtain NIN and PVCs, and participate fully in the Continuous Voter Registration exercise, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
