Programs Manager and National Leader, International Organization for Peace Building and Social Justice (PSJ Nigeria) Movement Da  Sam Odeh has lamented the level of insecurity in the Nation and called for collaborative efforts to address it .
In a statement made available to newsmen on Friday  ,he ssid “Nigeria is going through one of the darkest seasons in her history.”
According  to him ,”Killings, kidnappings, village raids, and widespread fear have continued unchecked. “
“Every day, citizens wake up hoping the night will end , yet the darkness refuses to break.”
He said  Nigeria is going through one of the darkest seasons in her history. Killings, kidnappings, village raids, and widespread fear have continued unchecked.
“Every day, citizens wake up hoping the night will end — yet the darkness refuses to break.”
As the Programs Manager and National Leader of the PSJ Nigeria Movement, I speak today not for any tribe, religion, or political bloc. I speak as a Nigerian who knows this nation cannot endure this level of violence any longer.
This is a time for governance, not politics. It is time for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fully take charge of the moment before us.
“Nigeria’s current security leadership must be reshaped without delay. We cannot continue with a team that has repeatedly shown disconnect from the urgency of the crisis.
We therefore call on the President to immediately relieve the following officials of their duties:
The National Security Adviser (NSA)
– The Minister of State for Defence saying that  Their recent public comments show a worrying softness toward individuals responsible for terror in this country.
At a time when Nigerians are being raped, killed, kidnapped, and displaced, such statements are unacceptable.
“Nigeria needs leaders who stand with citizens ,not leaders who appear sympathetic to criminals.”
He added that Last week, Ishaya Inuwa Durkwa, Executive Director of PSJ Nigeria, sounded a strong and undeniable alarm: what is happening in Nigeria today bears the marks of genocide , a silent slaughter.
This is not a tribal or religious accusation.
It is a national emergency.as  Muslims are dying.
 Christians are dying.
–
He added that  Traditional believers are dying.
Children, women, and entire communities are being wiped out.
The bloodshed has one identity: Nigerian blood. And that alone should compel the government into urgent action.
When top officials make statements that appear to excuse or humanize terrorists, it weakens both morale and the fight against insecurity. The recent remarks by the NSA and the Minister of State for Defence show that some leaders are not mentally, emotionally, or ideologically prepared to confront the magnitude of this war.
Nigeria needs security leaders who are disciplined, focused, courageous, and loyal to the Constitution — not to sentiments or alliances.
We commend President Tinubu for the appointment of General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff. It is a welcome decision, and Nigerians believe in his capacity.
However, one appointment alone cannot fix a broken system.
The entire security architecture needs rebuilding with competent and proactive officers.
Odeh said “For too long, the government’s response to national tragedies has been silence or weak statements. Nigerians are tired of hearing, “We are on top of the situation,” while things continue to deteriorate.”
“The government must show ,through decisive action that the lives of Nigerians matter.
To win this war, the government must urgently ,Expose the sponsors of terrorism,Disrupt the channels of funding and arrest and prosecute those enabling these crimes.
He also called on government to  hold accountable any official involved in protecting terror networks
This is not the time for political considerations or emotional loyalty to underperforming officers. Leadership demands courage, integrity, and truth.
Nigerians are not asking for speeches.
Nigerians are asking to live.
Mr. President, the night has been too long. Families are tired of burying their loved ones. Communities are tired of running for safety. A nation of over 200 million people is tired of living in fear.
We appeal with sincerity for government  to reshuffle the security cabinet immediately.
I urge government  to rebuild the security architecture with capable and committed leaders and restore national confidence through decisive and courageous leadership.
Nigeria cannot continue like this ,No Nigerian life is less valuable than another.
The life of a child in Zamfara is as precious as the life of a child in Benue, Kaduna, Oyo, or Enugu.
