The Management of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) has strongly refuted reports circulating on various online media platforms regarding its revenue collection partnerships, declaring them outdated and misleading.
In a swift reaction to clear the air, the Council corrected the narrative making the rounds which erroneously claimed that AMAC had disowned M/S Brainshelter Ltd while maintaining an active contract with M/S Takushara Enterprise Ltd.
In an official statement signed on Wednesday by Kingsley Madaki, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to the AMAC Executive Chairman, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, the Council stated that the publications do not reflect current administrative realities.
The statement noted that the general public, corporate organizations, and business owners should completely disregard the misleading reports to avoid paying hard-earned revenue into the wrong hands.
Setting the record straight, Madaki announced that the Executive Chairman and Management of AMAC have fully disengaged M/S Takushara Enterprise Ltd (also operating as Takushara Nigeria Limited) from aiding or acting on behalf of the Council in collecting revenue for signposts and outdoor advertisements.
According to the statement, any previous mandate handed to the firm has been officially revoked, stripping them of any authority to demand or enforce revenue collection within the municipality.
The Council subsequently confirmed the valid appointment of a new partner to oversee the revenue segment.
”AMAC Management wishes to formally inform all business owners, advertising agencies, and stakeholders that M/S Brainshelter Ltd has been officially engaged to handle the collection of revenue for Signposts and Outdoor Advertisements moving forward,” the statement read.
The Council leadership advised business operators within the municipality to accord the newly engaged technical partner the necessary cooperation in line with the new directive.
Warning taxpayers against fraudulent actors, the statement reiterated that all financial transactions must be processed safely through verified municipal channels.
Business owners were strictly cautioned not to make any revenue payments to agents of the disengaged M/S Takushara Enterprise Ltd, emphasizing that all legitimate payments must be channeled into the Council’s designated account through the newly authorized framework led by M/S Brainshelter Ltd.
