The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State has inaugurated its newly elected ward and local government executives in a colourful ceremony at the Council Secretariat Hall.
The event, which drew a large turnout of party stakeholders, leaders and supporters, was marked by calls for unity and renewed commitment to the party’s growth.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Executive Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council, Hon. Bature Sati Shuwa, charged the new executives to see their emergence as a fresh mandate to drive unity, progress and sustainable development in the area.
He commended the peaceful and consensus-driven congresses that produced the executives, describing the process as a clear demonstration of maturity and inclusiveness within the APC in Riyom.
On behalf of the new executives, the APC Local Government Chairman, Mr Gideon Ntoy, thanked God and the people of Riyom for the opportunity to serve. He pledged that the leadership would work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Ntoy particularly stressed that there would be no more distinction between “old” and “new” members, including those who recently defected to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties.
“All members are now equal stakeholders in the progress and development of the APC in Riyom,” he declared.
He assured that the new executive committee would collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure the delivery of democracy’s dividends to the people.
