— Former Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Maj. Gen. Barry T. Ndiomu (Rtd.), has strongly denied allegations that he paid funds to the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, to remain in office.

In a statement issued on Friday, Ndiomu described the claims as “entirely false, baseless, malicious, and deliberately misleading.”
He emphasised that the PAP operates as an agency under the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and has no connection with the office of the Chief of Staff to the President.

“The unfounded allegations are nothing more than a calculated attempt to tarnish my hard-earned reputation, integrity, and years of dedicated service to our nation,” Ndiomu stated.

The retired general, who was appointed by the late President Muhammadu Buhari, said he served his tenure strictly in accordance with the terms and duration stipulated in his letter of appointment.

“At no time did I engage in, authorize, or participate in any act remotely resembling the false claims being propagated by mischief-makers,” he added.

Ndiomu condemned the “reckless campaign of misinformation” being circulated on social media and other platforms, describing it as a “malicious fabrication” orchestrated by unscrupulous individuals.

He disclosed that a formal report has been made to the relevant investigative authorities to identify and prosecute those behind the allegations.

The former PAP boss urged members of the public, stakeholders, friends, associates, and the media to disregard the claims entirely, describing them as desperate and coordinated efforts to spread falsehoods.

Signed:
Maj. Gen. Barry T. Ndiomu (Rtd.)
