The Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Plateau State on Middle-Belt Ethnic Nationalities, Hon Dan Kwada, has called for unity among Middle-Belt Ethnic Nationalities as the 2027 general election approaches. He made this appeal during a meeting with leaders and representatives of over 300 ethnic nationalities in Plateau State, where he presented two Jerusalem Pilgrimage Forms.

The meeting, held at the Plateau State NUJ Secretariat in Jos, aimed to promote inclusivity and highlight Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s efforts to ensure everyone benefits from his administration.

Hon. Kwada also took time to explain to the Middle-Belt leaders, that Governor Mutfwang’s recent realignment with the APC was in the interest of the North Central and Middle-Belt regions and the manifestation is the recently approved Akwanga/ Jos road which was announced by the vice president Sen. Kashim Shettima recently during his visit to Jos.

He urged leaders to mobilize their people for the ongoing voter registration exercise, stating that the Plateau Middle-Belt ethnic Nationalities alone can generate over 1 million votes if properly mobilized. The leaders praised Governor Mutfwang’s inclusivity and pledged their support.

He described as false the current narratives which suggest that the Middle-Belt out together is a minority group, noting that a recent research has proven that people from the region if probably mobilised could produce over 17 million votes.

In response, the leaders commended Hon. Kwada for his leadership and transparency in coordinating various ethical Nationalities and appreciated Governor Mutfwang for his inclusive leadership and pledged their continued support.

Speaking with Journalists after the meeting, the Chairman of the Eggon Development Association In Plateau State people, Magaji Ibrahim John, alongside his Igala counterpart, Prince David Ibrahim, who spoke on behalf of others disclosed, that Governor Caleb Mutfwang has included them in key administrative policies and provided various incentives, such as fertilizer distribution and Christmas bonuses and now Jerusalem Pilgrimage Forms describing it as the very first time and a historic moment for Middle-Belt ethnic Nationalities on the Plateau.

They also noted that the appointment of Hon. Dan Kwada, as a senior aide to the governor is well deserved as he continues to unite, promote and mobilise support for the Mutfwang administration.

The leaders stated that the Middle Belt Ethnic Nationalities have lived in Plateau State for over 40 years without formal recognition until the administration of Governor Mutfwang.

They further pledged their total support for the re-election bid of governor Caleb Mutfwang in Plateau State come 2027 irrespective of which political party be belongs to.
