The Founder of Chayah Hope Foundation, Dr Mrs Martina Nentawe Yilwatda, has extended humanitarian support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Mangu Town and Pushit communities of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, reaching over 1,200 beneficiaries with food items and cash assistance.
The outreach, organised under the foundation’s humanitarian intervention programme, was aimed at providing relief to displaced families facing difficult living conditions.
Speaking during the exercise, Dr Yilwatda said the initiative reflected the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and restoring hope to families affected by displacement.
She stressed that compassion must be translated into practical action, especially for persons whose lives and livelihoods have been disrupted.
According to her, while many displaced families continue to face challenges, collective support and acts of kindness can help restore dignity and inspire hope for a better future.
“Our commitment remains to reach underserved communities, uplift vulnerable persons and ensure that no one is left behind in moments of need,” she said.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing the support as timely and impactful.
