The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC, is receiving commendation following its swift intervention that led to the renewal of a Nigerian International Passport for a citizen who had experienced delays.
In a testimony shared online, the Nigerian woman recounted facing prolonged delays with the Nigerian Immigration Service during her passport renewal process. After reaching out to PEBEC, she said she received prompt attention that resulted in the successful issuance of her passport. Yes Nigeria works!!!”
The development highlights the impact of PEBEC’s mandate to work with Ministries, Departments and Agencies to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks and improve service delivery to citizens and businesses.
Analysts note that such interventions reinforce public confidence in government institutions and demonstrate how effective coordination between agencies can produce timely results for Nigerians.
PEBEC was established to make Nigeria a more attractive place to do business by improving the regulatory and service environment. The Council continues to partner with Federal MDAs to ensure public services are more responsive, transparent, and efficient.
The testimony has since sparked positive reactions online, with many Nigerians citing it as an example of government working for the people.
