The APC governorship candidate in the march 18 2023 election in Plateau Dr Nentawe Yilwatda , has felicitated with Former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon on his 89th birthday occasion .
A statement signed by his spokesman Shittu Bamaiyi, quotes Nentawe as stating that, General Gowon’s invaluable contributions to peace building and welfare of mankind knows no bound.
” The General is a rare gift not only to Nigeria, but the entire mankind “.
Nentawe noted that his indelible foot prints are very glaring internationally particularly in the fields of peace building and health care campaign such as the guinea worm eradication.
According to him, General Gowon is a true example of an incorruptible, selfless and Patriotic leader whose commitment and dedication to nation building made him to attain the acme of his career of a three star general in his early thirties.
He further noted that Nigerians are presently basking under the euphoria of Unity and Progress as a result of leaders like General Gowon who put their lives online for the Country to be what it is today.
Nentawe remarked that Nigerians owe General Gowon a debt of gratitude for his service and sacrifice in ensuring that the Country became a peaceful and virile Nation.
While wishing General General Gowon a memorable birthday celebration,Nentawe appealed to our present crop of leadership to emulate his virtues for the unity and Progress of the Country.
