An All Progressive Congress APC stalwart Comrade Remark Ditep on Friday Congratulated Professor Nentawe Yilwatda over his election as National Chairman of the APC , describing his appointment as timely and strategic.
In a statement personally signed by him Ditep said Yilwatda’s elevation comes at a defining moment for the APC and expressed deep confidence in his ability to steer the party in the right direction.
“The emergence of Prof. Yilwatda is strategic. It comes at a critical period in the life of the party. I have profound confidence in his capacity, intellect, maturity, and administrative competence to move the party forward,” He stated.
Ditep also drummed support that the Ministerial slot for Plateau should be zoned to the Northern Senatorial district of the state .
According to him ,a brother from the Southern Zone of Plateau State has already secured a significant position. If you list the offices and benefits coming to Plateau people from that, you’ll see we’ve made progress. From the Central Zone as well, we now have the National Chairman of the ruling party.
It is only logical, appropriate, and reasonable that the ministerial slot should go to the Northern Zone. We are politicians, and politics is about benefits that are enjoyed here on earth,not in the afterlife.
If we keep saying the people from the Northern Zone are not with the APC, how do we expect them to be carried along? How do we ensure the dividends of democracy reach the Northern Zone, and by extension, the East?
We need to open our doors and our arms to them. So, I strongly believe it’s only logical that the ministerial position should go to the Northern Zone.
I’m a loyal party member, and I’m from the Central Zone of Plateau State, but I urge the President to please listen to this plea,Ditep Added .
