The Member representing Barikin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency and Senator-elect Plateau North, Hon Simon Mwadkwon PhD has decried the resurgence of attacks and killings in his Federal Constituency and other neighbouring Local Government Areas in Plateau State especially Jos South, Mangu and Bokkos LGAs in which scores were brutally murdered by merchants of violence.
This was contained in a statement signed by Friday Bako the Director, Media and Publicity to Hon. Simon Mwadkwon and made available to newsmen in Jos.
The Federal Lawmaker described the act as inhuman, wicked, barbaric and irrational.
He called on the government at all levels to rise up to their cardinal constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property of the Citizens.
He also called on security agencies to be more proactive in containing the attacks/killings and ensure the perpetuators are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.
He frowned at how intelligence information on attacks are not taken seriously and innocent lives are being lost when such attacks are carried out.
While condoling with those who lost their loved ones, he urged the people to be more security conscious.
