The news of the nomination of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan (SAN) from the North-Central as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is welcome news for Kogi State and Kogi West in particular.
Your pedigree as an excellent Professor of law is worthy of emulation and we are indeed proud of your accomplishments thus far.
There is no doubt in your capacity to steer the leadership of the most critical institution in Nigeria, as we move towards the 2027 general elections.
As the the first person from Kogi, nominated to occupy the position, we are convinced that you will be good ambassador of the confluence State. As a non-political actor, your integrity will be put to test and we know you will prove your worth.
