Q: What is World Wealth Day about?

World Wealth Day is a global platform for rethinking the meaning, purpose, and design of wealth. For too long, wealth has been discussed mainly in terms of money, assets, income, and economic growth. But the real question is: if wealth is meant to improve life, why are so many people working harder, earning more, producing more, and still feeling less secure, less peaceful, and less fulfilled?

Q: What is the theme for World Wealth Day 2026?

The theme for 2026 is Designing the Well-Being Economy. Last year, we made a powerful statement: Wealth is Well-Being. This year, we are going deeper. We are saying that if wealth is truly well-being, then well-being must no longer be left to chance. It must be designed into the systems that shape our daily lives.

Q: Why is this theme important now?

We live in a world where artificial intelligence is advancing faster than human connection, productivity is rising while peace of mind is declining, and innovation is accelerating while meaning is disappearing for many people. Something is no longer adding up. The problem is not that people are not trying hard enough. The deeper problem is that many of our systems were not designed for the kind of life people now seek.

Q: What do you mean by a Well-Being Economy?

A Well-Being Economy is an economy where growth is aligned with dignity, innovation is aligned with humanity, and prosperity is measured not only by what we produce, but by how well people live. It means work should support life, not compete with it. Cities should encourage connection, not isolation. Financial systems should expand access, not exclusion. Technology should empower people, not exploit them.

Q: What role should governments, businesses, and individuals play?

Governments must design policies that place human well-being at the center of development. Businesses must create value without destroying life. Builders and innovators must design platforms that expand access and opportunity. Communities must create environments where people are seen, supported, and connected. Individuals must also see themselves not just as participants in systems, but as contributors to their redesign.

Q: What is your message for World Wealth Day 2026?

My message is simple: wealth is not only what we own. It is what we build that allows people to live well. World Wealth Day 2026 is a call to move from accumulation to architecture, from wealth as possession to wealth as possibility, and from systems that extract from people to systems that serve people.
