Barrister Gyang Zi SAN on Friday convened a zonal stakeholders meeting of the Plateau North All Progressives Congress APC, where he declared his intention to contest for the Senatorial seat of the constituency come 2027.

A statement made available to reporters reads that the meeting brought together leaders and stakeholders from the six local government areas of the Northern Senatorial Zone .

He said the engagement was deliberate and strategic, aimed at strengthening unity, seeking prayers and encouragement, and mobilizing collective support as he consulted towards his aspiration to represent Plateau North in the Nigerian Senate come 2027.

 

The statement reads that ‘ Plateau North remains the most cosmopolitan senatorial district in Plateau State, accommodating diverse tribes, cultures, and interests. ”

 

“This diversity requires inclusive, experienced, and unifying leadership capable of bringing our people together for sustainable development. ”

He shared his vision for the district, anchored on improved security, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, human capital development, and effective representation at the national level.

He said “As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, I bring years of professional experience, national exposure, and international networks that will strengthen advocacy, effective lobbying for critical projects, and the attraction of strategic support to Plateau North. ”

He reaffirmed his deep rooted commitment to the APC, highlighting his consistent legal and financial contributions to the party and efforts at mobilizing supporters from other political platforms into the APC.

 

The statement further reads that “I was encouraged by the unity expressed by stakeholders, particularly the call to prioritize the youths of Plateau North, the statement further reads.
