As preparations for the 2027 general elections gain momentum, a prominent pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu group in Plateau State is leaving no stone unturned to build massive support for the president’s re-election bid.
Mr. Lapipee Yilwatda Goshwe Lapshak-Dungung, the Global/National Convener of the Tinubu or Nothing Support Group (also known as TON), has emerged as one of the most energetic grassroots leaders championing continuity under President Tinubu’s leadership.
Widely referred to by supporters as the “King of Boys” for his dynamic youth and community mobilization style, Lapipee has been at the forefront of rallying APC faithful and ordinary citizens across Plateau State.
In recent weeks, the group has undertaken several high-impact initiatives aimed at strengthening the president’s base in the North Central region.
These include unveiling 40 National Identification Number (NIN) registration devices in Plateau State to boost grassroots voter database efforts, a strategic move to enhance registration and participation ahead of 2027.
The initiative, which drew participation from notable figures such as the APC National Chairman Prof Nentawe Yilwatda ,Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Bernard Doro and other state leaders, including the Plateau state Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang represented by the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development Hon Musa Ashoms , Speaker of the state Assembly Rt Hon Daniel Nanlong,the DG PEPSA , Sam Dapyil , the SA Youth to Gov Mutfwang Hon Hitler Pwajok , Hon Pirfa Tyem the Council Boss of Langtang North,as well as the Chairman of Agatu local government council of Benue state Hon Melvin Ejeh underscores the group’s focus on empowering citizens and aligning them with the Tinubu administration’s reforms.
Lapipee has also maintained a strong media presence, appearing live on some radio stations to discuss the milestones of the Tinubu presidency and the imperative of continuity.
In one recent broadcast, he highlighted achievements in infrastructure development, economic stabilization measures, and efforts toward national unity, urging listeners to support “Tinubu or Nothing” for sustained progress.
The convener’s efforts extend to fostering party unity and high-level alliances.
Notably, he recently welcomed Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang during his defection to the APC, an event hailed as a major boost for the ruling party in the state.
Supporters credit Lapipee’s relentless outreach through rallies, community engagements, social media campaigns, and on-ground mobilization for helping shift political dynamics in Plateau toward the APC.
Broader endorsements align with his work. APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has projected that Plateau could deliver over one million votes for President Tinubu in 2027, citing a decisive shift in the state’s political landscape.
Minister Bernard Doro has similarly called for unity among APC members in Plateau to ensure a resounding victory for Tinubu’s re-election.
With billboards bearing the bold slogan “Tinubu or Nothing” now visible across Jos and surrounding areas, Lapipee Yilwatda’s campaign reflects growing momentum for continuity.
His message remains consistent: Nigeria is on a path of renewal, the foundation has been laid, and progress must not be interrupted.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, figures like Lapipee Yilwatda continue to play a pivotal role in translating national reforms into local enthusiasm, ensuring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision receives widespread grassroots backing in Plateau State and beyond.
